The Challenge

The client had a web-only store with high cart abandonment rates on mobile. Their product catalog had 12,000+ SKUs with no smart discovery layer — users were struggling to find relevant products, resulting in low conversion.

Our Solution

We built a React Native app with a Node.js backend and integrated Google's ML Kit for on-device recommendation scoring. A collaborative filtering model (trained on purchase history) was served via a lightweight Python microservice. Stripe handled payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay support out of the box.

The Result

28% increase in average order value. Mobile conversion rate improved from 1.4% to 3.8%. App store rating: 4.7/5 across 400+ reviews.
